    Yea I noticed that the more the preamp was turned up the darker and slightly muddier it got.My first reaction on a hig gain amp is to dime the preamp.Learning slowly that this is not always the best place on a high gain amp for tone.I'll try these settings.thanks.

    Yea I've read that the blue glow is normal expecialy on big bottle tubes,but i did not know it went away when playing,thanks for the help.

    Hey just a question to anyone who knows.I have a JMP that has the normal blue glow from the tubes.The amp is biased right.The question I have is that when I play the amp and watch the power tubes,the blue glow dissapears.then the blue glow comes back when I stop playing.Normal?These are KT88 tubes.

    Yea I just clipped the cap off vol 1 pot and that noise just went away also.

    Ok,so I looked at the schematic and took a ground wire from the ground buss that goes all the way across the rear of the pots and took it to ground.took the loud humming away.Now only vol 1 has some buzzing when turning it up loud,but that was there when I got it.any suggestions on that would be...

    Nope,the noise still stays ther with v1 out of the socket.Been pokin around a little bit with a chop stick and found when tapping any part of the v2 socket it makes a thumping sound.the other valve sockets do not do this.I willl probably get sone sockets and replace that 100k resistor going...

    Ok,so Installed new filter caps 50 x 50 500.     I will definetly look into the Wilder effects mod.As for putting the effects in at the mic source,that may be more complicated than I want.Exspecialy when there is limited amount of set up times between bands.
