Yeah I mean comparing a 200 dollar amp to a 2500 dollar amp is gonna turn out that way. I have a Mark V 90 combo and it's one of the best amps I have ever had but it also weighs as much as a house and has a finicky FX loop.
Same here. There are some fantastic SS amps. I have learned that some folks just hear with their eyes. I almost bought one of those amps last year for 150 bucks but it was non functioning when I went to try it out so I passed.
Sorry to hear that happened to you. I think learning left handed will be difficult but you could do it. I play left handed and am right handed. Another option is to get really good at slide guitar.
The Valveking first series were some of the most underrated amps ever made. Beautiful clean channel and chunk to brutal on the gain channel. This thread is making me want to procure a VK head. LOL
Leminstah! Back when I lived in NH I used to go through there a lot when I was going to Gardner or Westminster. Always took the back way. Can't go wrong with a Vibrolux brother!
I put a V30 in the one I had and used it for gigging for a couple years. The surprised look on the faces of sound people and fellow players alike was always pretty satisfying. One sound guy asked me WTF I did to it to make it sound so good. I simply replaced the speaker and jumped the FX loop.
Awesome thanks. I got the ma draw from all the pedals I am going to use and only came up with less than one amp. I hooked it all up and voila! No noise at all. It was really bugging me cos a couple of my pedals I wanted to use are my favorites but just so noisy. Roughly 7 hrs of use for that...
I am building a pedalboard that has a couple pedals that tend to be a little noisy. I went and bought these adapters that allow you to use one of those battery packs mostly meant for charging up a tablet or phone. I am guessing this will really quiet everything down. The battery I have is I...
Eh I mean I don't have a ton of their pedals but the 2 I do have are holding up from a bunch of gigs. On the contrary my MXR Super Badass footswitch went south on me after 5 months of usage.
Another Kurt Russell Western film was Bone Tomahawk. I put off watching it for years cos I thought the movie title was dumb. Surprised me. I thought it was a great flick. I mean it doesn't compare to Tombstone or anything but I was highly entertained.
Yeah I am still on my first set of powered speakers for FOH when I left the old stuff behind. I used to have a rack of gear that weighed at least 300 lbs. I shopped around a lot and wound up with all EV ELX series stuff. No plastic there and I think it's the reason they sounded warmer and...
The "digital crap" isn't to blame for most of it. In the right hands and with the right ears it can sound supremely good and powerful. When I first switched over my sound system from a gigantic analog rig to powered everything and a digital board, I went through a short phase where I certainly...
