I know that Marty was using Crate amps at that time. Probably one of the Blue Voodoo's IIRC. In my booklet from my CD I bought back when Cryptic Writings came out the only amps mentioned in the notes are Crate amps. There is also a pic of Marty sitting next to a rack unit I "assume" he used...
IMHO your problem was always rolling tubes, not the tube amps themselves. Constantly rolling tubes just puts tons of needless wear and tear on the tube sockets and on the components if you always have to re-bias. I'm an only change them when they need changed kind of guy, and that's hardly ever...
Yeah.
Yeah. I don't have a cell plan and just use my internet/Wi-Fi with it. If anybody calls while I'm out I listen to their message when I get home and call them back if I want to. I use it basically just like a good old landline. It's a great thing. IMHO more people need to learn how to...
Out of all the nice watches I've had over the decades I still love the 80's style basic Casio's the most. I've always been a wristwatch person and that will never change. My cellphone always stays at home and is hardly ever used.
I've been suffering from horrible chronic tinnitus since around 2007. My ears have rang nonstop very loudly (and I mean loud) since then and any prolonged loud noise or music feels like daggers in my ears and then my hearing fades all muffled. I can't do headphones anymore either no matter what...
I'd rather have a new modern-day SS version and in a head version. Not much of a combo person.
The code is a modeler, I don't like modelers or profilers. I'd take a single standalone SS amp over anythingelse that isn't tube.
I've been waiting a long time for Marshall to make modern-day solid state amp to compete with the Orange Crush series. I think they would be a big seller. I'd love to see an SS series of the Studio series in both heads and combos. I'd go for an SS head version of the SC20H myself. Naturally they...
Gator makes an ABS Strat style Baritone cases (GC ELEC-XL) . I had to buy one for a regular 25.5" scale guitar that was longer than normal and wouldn't fit in a regular Gator case. Definitely longer and roomier than the regular size case. It would possibly do the trick for you. Plus Gator...
I contacted Marshall about the switch many years ago. They said the switch can normally be used while the amp is on, just don't rapidly or repeatedly switch between settings. I take that as giving it a second or 2 between each setting. It's best IMHO just to pick what you want to use before...
I wear all kinds of band T's and graphic/emblem T's. All of them are ones that would have been around in the 80's and all from something I love since my entire wardrobe is 80's style. The only one I have with a slogan/saying that I can remember is my Booger "High On Stress" T. It's an exact...
My Origin 20H came with both a speaker cable and a power cord. I've never seen an amp not come with a power cord. You should be able to get one at no extra cost since it should have came with one. I wouldn't let it slide.
The Origin only has 1 8ohm jack, not 2. Maybe you have one of the 1st ones with the factory speaker jack defect that wasn't fixed. 0nly 1 of the 2 8ohm jacks would work IIRC and then they caught it at the factory and fixed it. After that the jacks were relabeled for only one 16ohm or 1 8ohm cab...
That's a cool little cable. I use a pedal coupler to read cabs as well for a more direct read by eliminating the resistance of the cable all together. I bought several straight and offsets for my pedalboard and decided shortly after they are not good for the pedals and also very inconvenient...
