I'm the same way. The Origin with a few pedals is all I need for low level playing. I also prefer it over my HX Stomp and Fender Mustang 1 for low level playing. I've never tried the DI out and probably never will.
I have always been a big George Lynch fan, especially his work with Dokken. He has a very awesome unique style and an awesome distinctive tone. He is definitely one of my all time favorites. That's cool you got to meet him in person. He seems like a really cool dude.

If I was ever to buy a Distortion + I'd just get a brand new basic yellow version of it. I'm definitely not a fan of that polka dot finish. I just never liked polka dots.
Definitely the 80's for me. IMHO it will always be the greatest decade in music. I also consider it the greatest decade in TV, movies, pop culture and fashion. So I'm a little bias.
I was thinking it was going to be a question if pedals are any good for people with ADD or if ADD + pedals is just a bad idea. A nice simple pedalboard should be just fine for people with ADD.
I've always found drop pedals interesting but IMHO they all sound unnatural, just very synthetic and synth like, IMHO anyways. Also the problem as mentioned, you have to play loud enough to not hear the natural guitar tuning. I play mainly in only 3 tunings and have only 3 guitars. 1 is a Floyd...
