Return My Origin 20h For A Studio Vintage?

Ok that makes sense! So, there is more distortion on the SV, but you still gotta get the amp breathing to hear it. Makes sense.

Return My Origin 20h For A Studio Vintage?

I've been more finicky about tone in the past, but these days sometimes a good deal can make the amp sound better if you know what I mean.

Return My Origin 20h For A Studio Vintage?

First off, man, what a sweet looking rig! Secondly, I'm a little confused. You said that the Origin needs a pedal to get the gain of the SV? At what volume? I mean, the Master volume and Gain helps a bit on the Origin, and while it does have to be loud, are you saying that the SV has more gain?

    New Marshall Cab

Honestly, I don't think the new Origin cabs are a bad option. Yes they are probably MDF, and no they don't come with great speakers, but they look vintage and I'm sure are worth the $399 price.

Return My Origin 20h For A Studio Vintage?

I honestly don't have an issue with MDF. Over on TGP, MDF gets a bad rep, but to me if it is sturdy and saves some money, I'm ok with it. I just can't get over how good the cab looks in person though. Makes the entire stack look legit!

Return My Origin 20h For A Studio Vintage?

You know, I've considered getting a DSL20H to pair with the Origin, and both would cost under $1000 together. I think my only reservation on the SV20 is how different would it really sound at the clean levels I'll be using it for as a pedal platform. Sure, I can crank it occasionally, but it...

Return My Origin 20h For A Studio Vintage?

The Greenbacks are waiting at the house to get installed. They arrived yesterday but haven't had a minute to do the swap. 70/80s are indeed harsh and toppy. The bad thing to me is how sizzly they sound.

Return My Origin 20h For A Studio Vintage?

The Origin cab seems pretty good to me. I'm sure it is MDF, but a lot of low end gear is these days. It looks the business, and is heavy, but time will tell I suppose. I can crank an amp every now and then, but I'll mainly use the amp as a clean platform. The Origin sounds tight with less...

Return My Origin 20h For A Studio Vintage?

I just purchased an Origin 20 head and new Origin vertical 2x12 cab. I got a great deal and got both for $760...yes, you read that right haha. It sounds really good, but I can't help but wonder if the Studio Vintage would be a better long term option, both quality and sound wise. My only...

Thanks guys. I REALLY want a Two Rock head and cab, but I've been getting so much positive reaction to this guitar, that I'm contemplating keeping her.

FS: Gibson 57 VOS Les Paul Historic Goldtop R7

Up for sale is my R7 VOS. I got it from a collector in a trade and I haven't used it much. It's the best LP I've ever played, but I'm a strat guy with hopes of buying a Two Rock, so needless to say this is just too much LP for me. I will try to get more pics, but comes with all case candy...

    DSL40C speaker swap?

I'm a little torn as to what to do with my DSL. I'd sure love to keep it, but I simply can't justify keeping it just for a nice crunch tone. I've been putting off buying a DRRI for months because I wanted to give Marshall a fair shake, and while the crunch tones are good, there just isn't a...
