I found Wayne on Facebook and messaged him.
However, his replies were short.....1 or 2 sentences….he provided very little info (if any) regarding the whereabouts of that Marshall stack.
Keep in mind that I'd sold them in late winter/early spring 1978..….it's 42 years later.
I'm sure a lot has...
'Frye Boots'
Yep!
Even in sweltering August heat, I'd wear 'em!
Back then.....probably cost $40.00 for a pair.
Heck, I own a pair now!
That style is known as a 'campus boot'.................and they're hard to find.
Good-God....look at me.
Probably 140 lbs............jeez.
Oh, well.
The only...
Hmmmmmmmmm.............
I had mistakenly double-posted my story......but couldn't figure-out how to delete it.
I'd reported it...and asked that it be removed.
Perhaps that was the reason for the "Last edited by a moderator' notice.

Ken,
So glad to read your stories, and very fortunate for us to have someone who was actually there to clear the air.
I’d like to share my ‘Marshall memories’ with the forum.
I was huge Hendrix-fan…..and I remember drawing images of Marshall stacks on my school notebooks.
When I’d see pix of...
You need Fender part# 0059922000 - jack phone stereo 6.5mm
I found them on Ebay, and they're a perfect replacement!
The original Marshall jacks appear to bakelite (I think).....the Fender jacks seem to be more durable.
They cost approx. $8.00 apiece, plus shipping.
If you find them...
'tbwrench' says:
"does the loop still work?"
Yup!
"The jacks look like they fit perfectly."
They are a perfect fit.....they have the same 9-pin configuration as the original Marshall jack.
Before I found these jacks, the only other Fender jacks I could find were too tall....they had a...
To tbwrench....
I just want to clarify that the jacks shown in the pix I'd attached are the replacement low-profile (Fender) jacks I'd purchased on Ebay recently.
It's quite crowded inside the original Guv'nor.
Trying to fit the Switchcraft jack (or any standard stereo input jack) into such a confined space would probably damage the circuit board.
As to whether all 9 pins are necessary.........I don't know.
Keep in mind that this unit has an FX Loop...
Methinks some of you have never been inside the old Guv'nor.......it's quite crowded.

thetragichero says:
Jack, 1/4 in. Stereo Switchcraft #12B
get that, connect to to the board with wires
-----------------------------------------------------
That jack won't fit inside the unit.
And keep in mind that one of those inputs is actually an FX Send/Return.
Looking at the circuit...
1) The jacks are board-mounted.
2) 9-pins are needed.
3) There's no room in there for a non-mounted jack.
The 1st pic is the original (broken) jack.
The entire 'neck' (threaded section), snapped off from booth of the jacks.
You can see traces of the glue I used to repair it.....
The 2nd pic...
The output/input jacks (9-pin low-profile) are connected directly to the circuit board, and they have a tendency to break.
Replacement jacks have been hard to find......that's why we have this thread.
.....and Switchcraft doesn't make one.
The Ebay seller...
