true. nothing is ever full proof. I made sure there were no cold solder joints and I piled the solder on. I will post a finished pic. For my first handbuilt cab I think it came out great. My band mates were pretty amazed at the cab and the sound. (as was I)...lol
I am playing a Marshall JCM 900. I am hoping to finish wiring this cab by the weekend, but have a question.
I was only going to install 1 - 1/4 jack receiver in the back. Not a plate just a single plug in.
Am I correct with this diagram to install 2 - 8 ohm speakers in series for a total of 16...

I was going to throw them in there thinking 200 watts would be better.....WRONG.
I have 2 - 50 watt Emenince speakers that are going in. Tonight the jacks and wiring, tomorrow the tolex and grill cloth.

Project 212 cab hand built to Marshall specs. Just needs tolex,wiring,grill cloth and handles/feet.
Speakers are 200 watts 4 Ohm. So I will wire them in series and set my JCM 900 head to 8 Ohm...but..Thinking tomorrow is another day

I will be getting some G12's or vintage 30's at some point soon. Thought I would try to go with the Eminence for now.
I wont know the exact ohms until I yank them tomorrow.
I have played DSL's, 800's, TSL's, but I have to say that this amp (head) is a true tone monster.
Great thick thump and creamy leads..totally reminded me what made me fall in love with Marshall years ago...:)
I have the box built and will be adding speakers tomorrow. All I have at the moment are crappy Eminence speakers from a Marshall DFX250 combo. I gig through my trusty Marshall JCM 900.
So...the speakers on the cab read:
OUTPUT 2 x 50 watts speakers into 8 Ohms
So...if I install these into my...
