PSA: Vacuum Tube Source
My latest tube score. One USA 12AU7, five West German Telefunken ECC83, one Mesa Boogie 6550-A. All tested good on my Orange tube tester and the Telefunkens tested 70 out of 100 on my Heathkit tester. Not especially accurate but they didn't fail. I gave my guy $100.- Torren61

Amps you regret buying
The amp I regret buying was a Marshall Limited Edition Super 100JH Handwired Jimi Hendrix Stack. Mine was number 302. I did not have a clue as to what I was doing. No master volume. Full stack that was taller than me. No good place to open it up and no attenuator that wasn't crap. I...- Torren61

NAD Soldano SLO30
Soldano SLO-30s are great! I have one in snakeskin with a matching 2X12 cab. They do EVERYTHING and they do it well. Clean, crunch, high gain and every shade in between. Congrats, wise choice!- Torren61

Sounding out of tune
I've recently discovered that when I need to set intonation, I play an open string and then fret at the 19th fret. When I get the two spots in tune with each other, I double check at the 12th fret and I'm in tune all over the fretboard. Try it. -

Spalted Magnolia guitar build
Magnolia flowers smell like lemon, for those who have never smelled them. They shed their large waxy leaves which pile up. I would never have one on my property but I do like the smell. -
