    Vintage Inspired Jtm45/100 Block-end Build

Should be able to hear it in the clips posted a few posts back. I put the bright cap on a pull switch so that it is optional. Pretty sure the clips above were recorded without the bright cap engaged.

    Vintage Inspired Jtm45/100 Block-end Build

Thanks Neil! That first amp (the one in the pics/vids) was running 495 at the plates. $$$ NOS GEC KT66 Quad not sure what the preamp tubes were (maybe Harma Retros or the could hav been NOS mullards). I don't have access to the first amp for comparision. The second amp is running 490v at the...

    Vintage Inspired Jtm45/100 Block-end Build

Thanks Guys! Sorry to resurrect an old thread! I finally got around to build another one of these. The new one is running a bot lower (490v) on the plates than the original (495v). Carl and Neil were having a discussion earlier about tweaking the 8.2k decoupler to adjust the down stream...

    Marshall St1 Pcb Layout

Does anyone have the layout for a Marshall ST1 PCB? I am particularly interested in the under board trace layout. Trying to figure out which end of the (2) 10k decoupling resistors (middle of the board) feeds the v1 anodes?

Best Transformers For A '68 12000 Series Build?

Sorry for the late reply... here are some 12xxx instructions that I cobbled together from the NightOwl posts on Metro forum: http://www.mediafire.com/file/uj79spi7mr89b38/12xxx_NightOwl.zip FWIW...Friedman once said that the CT T-2562 had the right sag characteristics for a 12xxx

    Vintage Inspired Jtm45/100 Block-end Build

I like the bright cap at certain points on the volume rotation, but not others... also depends what pedals are in front. Glad I made it switchable. They are Harma retros Both transformers are the Metro versions made by Heyboer. The PT (1204-43) is running about 495v at the plates...

    Vintage Inspired Jtm45/100 Block-end Build

Not a full blown museum piece, but a nod toward the vintage with some modern updates... the goal being to get the tone! Thanks to Neikeel for his help getting this right! Custom Back panel Block-end chassis begged from another builder Preamp section with switchable 100pf bright cap...
