Hissing, only from lead channel? This normal?

Usually on that channel I will run the gain at about 5 or 6. The hiss isn;t very loud, if I play you can;t hear it. It's just in the background. Is it safe to play with the other channels if this is happening?

Hissing, only from lead channel? This normal?

Turn on my 6100LM. Clean channel sounds great. Switch to the Crunch channel. Sounds great. Switch to lead, and I get this hissing noise. When I switch it back onto the other two channels it goes away... Can anyone give me an idea as to what might be going on? Before bringing it in to a tech and...

Noise on lead channel of 6100LM...

Clean and crunch channels are fine, but when I switch to the lead channel there is a fuzzy noise.. kind of like interference from something but there is nothing around that would cause it... I'm thinking it's either a scratchy pot or a tube is dying... Any ideas?!

    My rig!

Nah, the last owner took off all the tolex and painted it white for some reason. Too damaged maybe? The cab sounds incredible though. I'd like to re-finish it but I'm thinking with the cost and labour it's not even worth it. Besides if it's mistaken as silver tolex what's the point hahaha

    Greatest Marshall Ever!

Haven't gotten the chance to play through many. I've played an old plexi (don't know what year) and it sounded incredible. Although, I can get pretty close to that shit with my 6100LM... So I'd say the 6100LM.
