    Nice amp! I've got a '73 Lead&Bass 20 watt head. As far as I know, Lead&Bass and PA are almost identical, how does a 20 watt PA head preform? My Lead&Bass doesn't have a lot of headroom.

    JTM60 experts?

    When I had the JTM 60, I'd crank the clean channel for crunshy rythm (master volume adjusted to taste) and adjusted the dirty channel for overdrive/solo boost. Sounded great, as I remember it. Works well if you don't care for clean sounds.

    Well, first time around, the voltage was 351 volts. After some reseach, I found out that my 8 ohm cab wasn't 8 ohm at all, and used another cab instead, then I changed the rectifier tube. I don't know why the voltage is that low, but according to my friend (who is an amptech), it's ok...

    Checked my notes now, it appeared to 45mA and 391 volts. I can not remember if I adjusted the bias lower after that.

    I've replaced 5881 for KT-66 in my JTM45RI some time ago. Belive I set bias for about 45 mA, if memory serves me right.

    Set your (amp)head to 8 ohms, plug into 8 ohm on your cab.

    JTM 60 What to look for

    I had one with 12" speaker for eight years, never had a problem with that. But a lot of people reports that the JTM60 series has a overheating issue, and they solve this by putting i fan in the back of the amp.
