    Ive got a Bugera power soak. How much attenuation would be required? I obviously like the toan of a cranked plexi….can i crank my amp to like 7:30ish and just use the power soak to tame it down? How much would i need to tame it?

    I have one of those Bugera power “toan” soaks. Would that be sufficient to run my amp with a cranked volume with my cab? Thanks!

    whats the worst that could happen? blown speaker? blown amp? i love greenbacks so much, but really dont want to purchase a 4x12. im unfortunately not a huge fan of the creambacks…ugh

    Im guessing I probably can’t crank my 50 watt 1987 reissue through my 2x12 with greenbacks correct? Ive heard the speakers will most likely blow.

    You never had any issues doing this? I would bring it down to 90 volts.

    Just want to make sure I don’t mess anything up by bringing it down to 90 volts. I used a variac with my sv20 and brought it down to volts and never had a problem but i know that amp is cathode biased. all of this is a little over my head haha

    so then does it mean i can only run the amp with the variac at that voltage? say i get it biased to 90 volts. i cant run it at 100 or 110?

    There is one for sale I have my eye on. Just wondering if they are cathode biased? Basically seeing if I can hook up my variac to it and lower voltage without having to do any rebiasing. Thanks yall!

    Can I hook up a variac to my sv20? Do i need to rebias anything? I want to run it down to 95-100 volts or so. Thank you
