1965 JTM45 with EL34s: Dropping Resistors?

So it seems to be the correct 784-103 OT. To be used with KT66s. Not a good match with EL34s ......BTW, I'm seeing a period correct aluminum chassis ....

You're surely right about the chassis being aluminum. I think it's a good amp. I've never seen a silver script logo on an amp though. Have you?

The original H.L.F. Helmholtz was a famous german physicist and polymath from the 19th century.
Being a physicist myself, his name often crossed my path.
Many Helmholtz institutes around Germany.

The OPs amp is a JTM45 with a Drake -103 OT
Ideally it should be running KT66 as it has an 8k primary (EL34s work best with a 3-4K primary).
Ideally 470R on each and 1k flying resistor taking supply from turret to first octal socket.
