I got this amp a while back and it had been sitting since the 80s. It is in very original condition but is by no means a mint “collectors” example. I had a local amp tech go thru it and had EVH mods (bypass cap, 50k mid pot, adjusted NF, biased at 50 millivolts on the variac) done to it. Took it to the studio yesterday and had some fun with it.
EVH ‘78 striped series. The volume is cranked, presence is off, mid/treble around 4 and bass on 5. Does the EVH thing spot on although it was not eq’ed that way for this video. Played thru v30s and recorded on my phone. Thought some here might think it’s cool, or not.
