I loved this band, but last year I bought £50 ticket to see them headline FireFest.. an AOR day in the UK... it was to be a reunion for the first time since the 1990's everyone was wetting themselves at the thought of these guys back together..

...and with about three weeks to go... they cancelled... the vocalist Sandi Saraya.. gave back on it... (money wranglings) - absolute cow.... I was only going to see this band the rest of the bands were of no interest to me.. No refunds.. Lost £50..

So... if you like the songs... download the album free... give her nothing!

Actually you would be hard pressed (pun) to find either of their albums to purchase now anyway, the CD's are a fortune for AOR collectors... especially the first where these two songs come from.. it is an AOR classic.

This guitarist is the amazing Tony Rey who is now Enrique Englaisias musical director... big production that!

Used to play this one with a band ... when the moon was still young...

I thought we were discussing 80's Obscurities in this thread.

Annihilator
Metal Church
Death Angel
...

Not obscure. Even Annihilator had a solid spot in MTV's rotation. Death Angel's "I'm Bored" was constantly played, and Metal Church's "Badlands" broke out of Headbanger's Ball and was in full rotation.

Not taking anything away from them. They all kicked major ass, and I've seen John Marshall (Metal Church guitarist/Metallica guitar tech) on more than one occasion play for James Hetfield when he broke his wrist or caught himself on fire.

Lilian Axe

or Alias.... the first album was great, the second album was recorded but never released, however copies of it a freely (literally) available on the net... full album of 15 songs never released and it was another really good one... though I suppose we are moving into the 1990's with this one... this is 1990... but it is such a good song!
Always reminds me of a very hot summer in Canada when I played it to death...:lol:

The guitarist here has the album cover on his guitar... nice custom job.

Here is a real treat, Shy.

Tony Mills on vocals... and I keep forgetting to mention in influencial guitarists, or underated guitarist threads this guy... BIG influence on me as a kid STEVE HARRIS on guitar... melodic, shreds when he wants.. great riffs... absolutely ludicrous hairstyle!

Tony Mills singing with TNT now. This is from 1987.

Then they went to the USA, sorted their hair out but still had major fashion problems! Smoking guitar solo on this one.

You Canadians will remember Lion, Doug Aldrich and Kal Swan.... maybe...they were great...

What you North Americans will not remember is Doug Aldrichs next band Hurricanes album cover for Slave to the Thrill.... as it was changed for you.
This is the cover we got in Europe...

Kelly Hansen on vocals here... now with Foreigner... if you though he sounded familiar:

Lizzy Borden and Raven.... wow that is taking me back now.
Raven got hammered by the music press over here for defecting to the US, but they did better over your way than here... who can blame them our press can be pretty toxic at times.
Wild voice.

I had such a crush on Wendy!! The Plasmatics were truly obscure and underappreciated. They would have fared better in the 21st century, I think.

Raven played at a free metal festival in San Francisco last summer. They were awesome. Wiped Out is one of the earliest records I remember having.
