There is a 4 hole jcm 800 model on uk ebay right now for £540.

Looks pretty minty, 50 watt, I have the cash but don't need the head for anything in particular so why am I gassing for it? Greed?

Near you too Isn't it?....get it bought, the 4 holers rarely come up at all let alone in great shape for 500 quid.

Good price, I must admit I prefer the 800 styling. I wonder if it sounds good ?

Equally well, I don't have the cash & I certainly don't need another head, nor the inquest that would surely follow when it arrived. :squint:

That should be a great amp. Just be prepared that this amp will probably be very loud by the time it overdrives without a Master Volume. I own a 1987x and I could not imagine being able to used it at home without the modded PPIMV (master volume).

Like others have said. Just do it.

Just sneak it in the house when she is in the shower or sleeping.

My wife is usually oblivious to a new amp. To her, they all must look the same, that is until I brought home an Orange Rocker 30 combo. It kind of stood out among the Marshall and Fender amps in my music room.

A stone's throw from heaven.
So looking about it has an extra hole on the face plate, I've asked what it is for.

Also is it really a non master volume amp? it seems to have volume I and Volume II, but I can't quite make it out in the pictures.

Is it a 1987?

A little schooling on 800's wouldn't go a miss.

Greed? I think not.
Perhaps a man who knows a good investment when he sees one, provided the inside hasn't been mucked around with too much.
I would be a bit skeptical about an extra hole on the faceplate.
