Oxford ish sorta...
Can't believe it took until the second page til Hiwatt got a mention. A proper amp that kicks like a mofo.

And those Selmer Treble & Bass amps are very nice too...

:D I'd love to get my hands on one of those old Selmer Twin Thirties with the alligator tolex....

Maybe a nice older 504 too.

:D I'm kinda wondering if it would be worth Modding one of those NEW Bugera 1960 Infiniuims, Maybe Throw in some Marstran Plexi Xformers, Choke, Maybe some NOS Phillips Mustards, sprinkle in some some Sozo Vintages here and there, Some Carbon comps, maybe little dash of Elfin magic....You know the drill.

I'm wondering if I could make a fairly respectable PLEXI out of it....

Any one wanna take bets?

I know crate gets no love in this forum, but I like the hell out of my Excalibur GX-900H. It's got the whole 90's metal thing down to a "T" and if that sum-bitch blows up, I can buy another one for less than a C note.

Mesa Boogie Mark IIC, Splawn, & many others. I need more Marshalls before I stray though.

There's nothing more badass than this... Teisco Checkmate 100

I used to have one of these 50-watter head.... Checkmate was my very first tube amp... I didn't play surf music with this.

unfortunately, clips are far and in-between. I found a few on youtube but they aren't mic'ed up so it really doesn't do justice on these vintage Teisco amps.

The clean tone of these suckers are bright and sparkly. The dirty sound is almost akin to a Fender twin pushed to its limits.

I think my 50-watt head had 8 power tubes... I believe the 100-watt version has 12 tubes, plus the VU meter on the panel. I do not recall what type of tubes they used.

Whoa! That's a lot of glass man! Thanks for the info. I dig old amps I know nothing about that someone has played. They look way different...unique.
