So, Ive been collecting Les Pauls lately and beside the wine studio that "came home" after being gone for 3 years, I just got back another

last fall I had gotten this 06 white studio in a trade for a 5150 head, I didnt think much of it at the time and soon traded it off for something else.

well out of the blue a guy offered me a LP and a pocket full of cash for my JVM
and I jumped on it. Got the LP home and quickly realized it was the one I let go back in november.

Plugged it in to test it out and ended up playing for an hour...picked it up this morning again and played for 3o minutes... cant put it down

its just one of those that is "right" for me, guess it knew better than I did and found its way back

I know its just a chambered studio, but I cant make a bad sound with it and it feels perfect.

That is a sweet looking LP there. I agree about the ones that have 'it'. Those are the ones that get played, not collected imo. If I had to, I'd pay Gibson Lp prices for a 'Chinese clone' that had 'it' as opposed to paying the same price for a mediocre sounding Gibson. Its all about tone to me. I could care less about brand/origin and clout/esteem........still, an actual Gibby that has 'it' most certainly has a long line of history.

The white one be my fave. I loves straight up reverse tuxedo. I loves a Studio that's white with a dark finger board and no neck binding.

By the way, you should quit smoking immediately.

Very nice I have that same guitar mines a 92 though, back when they had ebony fret boards. Mine has turned a slight yellow now (never been around smoke ether) and looks pretty cool. I'll never let mine go. Cool that you got it back. BTW does that one have ebony? looks like it. I wonder what year they switched to rosewood.

Congrats on the LP and is sure looks sweet.;) I have an '08 Gibson LP Studio (black) and it plays wonderfully. With the chambered body it sounds very resonant. It looks like you're not the only person who likes da white LP's.:slash:

I'm digging the slot machine :yesway:

That was my birthday present to myself last year... complete spur of the moment, sold a amp 2 hours from home and saw the sign in a guys yard on the way home...he had a virtual casino in his garage

Where's the white single hum?

I finally sold that...it didnt turn out as well as I would have liked and the lack of serial as well as the neck repair made it virtually worthless around here

I had it on CL for months and it was flagged for being fake, I was threatened with prosecution by the CL "police" and funny...only one guy ever looked at it

everyone was scared of it for some reason...I ended up selling it for 350 bucks and was damn happy to see it go

A lot of the Studios are just as good as their fancy-pants siblings. I've never had a desire for a "real" LP because I like my battered old Studio so much. The fact it somehow made its way back to you, like a lost dog, definitely means it was meant to be.

Also, I'm going to steal your 'mode poster' idea. :naughty:
