anyone interested in another songwriting contest?

I hate contests, they always cause problems.

I feel you but the contest isn't the cause, it's just the vehicle for the "problem" in this case.
Take away that vehicle and the problem will just find another bridge to pop out from under.

I was just recording after 4 or 5 beers. I can't continue as other people in the house have to sleep. I put a empty bottle on either side of the mic for inspiration !
The song is fun as hell to play , not very metal but rock for sure.
I definitely need to work on the drum part. It will not have a bass line and the drums are done in Hydrogen.

If I have time, I'll have a real drummer replace the track, but it's up in the air. I have shitty kit for my daughter to bang on, but I'm not at ALL a drummer.
