Well I was thinking the Forum should have THE BEST TONE CONTEST!!!


each user makes a video or a sound clip and then we make a poll and we vote who has the best tone. And then the winner gets to write on his signature "Best Tone according to Marshall Forum" LOL

I like it. But with one addendum: We have one winner for Video and one winner for Audio-Only, since most of the Audio-Only recordings will be superior to the Video's in quality.

Heck yeah, let's do this! Let's hear it! I really want to hear some of these rigs!

No FX, no processing. Just Guitar into Amp into Cab(s).

Audio only here - Doing an improv over the break in Moondance - The audio is from a cell phone or some shit LOL. But I think that Marshall tone just sings right through it...

Interesting thread... and I'll sure keep an eye on, BUT...

What defines a "Best Tone?" Rock, blues, fusion, metal, melodic. Is there really a "Best Tone?" A little like saying which drop of water in the ocean is best. Takes all to make it what it is. Tone is realitive to mood. Just the philosophical side showing through.

Curious to see what crops up here.
