Nice one. You don't see many of those limited edition SV20's around. You have a collectors item.
Happy birthday mate and that's a stunning amp and cab. I wonder if I may ask a question. I've been looking at those bundles here in the UK (I'm still undecided on Combo or head/Cab and you can buy either in the design store colours) but I understand the cab has a 20w speaker in it. Will that be enough for the amp?
I thought the 1974cx had a 20 w rated speaker mate? If I've got that wrong I apologise but that was my understandingThe cab has a v-type in it that's rated at 70 watts. I think it will cope....
Interesting. Marshall's website says it has a 70 watt v-type while some retailers say it has a G12m - 20. So I thought I knew but now I don't.....I thought the 1974cx had a 20 w rated speaker mate? If I've got that wrong I apologise but that was my understanding
Here’s hoping … I‘ve often considered ordering something through their Design Store: now I don’t have to!Nice one. You don't see many of those limited edition SV20's around. You have a collectors item.

Could the 1974cx be undergunned so to speak with that speaker and the SV20h (Apologies to original poster for hijacking his thread)And the answer is that the 1974cx has the GM 20 but the SV 112 has the 70 watt v-type.
I always heard you need double the speaker watts to amp watts to be on the safe side.Could the 1974cx be undergunned so to speak with that speaker and the SV20h (Apologies to original poster for hijacking his thread)
Not hijacking the thread at all. Interesting!Could the 1974cx be undergunned so to speak with that speaker and the SV20h (Apologies to original poster for hijacking his thread)
That is why Jim says you need a full stack for Plexi's!I always heard you need double the speaker watts to amp watts to be on the safe side.
