Hi everyone. Just wanted to ask here if anyone knows for sure if the pedal board in the title will power up any and all Boss pedals. I'm asking as I have older and newer style, meaning the older ones used the ACA power adaptor to power instead of batteries, while the newer ones use the PSA adaptor instead of batteries. I am looking at purchasing one of these boards, but since I do have both types of pedals I wanted to be sure it will power both at the same time. Thanks for any info!

Yes it will. 7 of them total.

What is the ACA & PSA adapters? Don't they all take the same connector?

The ACA pedals were 12V & the PSA are 9V, they switched all their pedals to PSA sometime in the late 80s or early 90s.

I'm pretty sure the board would power the old ones, I know that if you daisy chain from their TU-2/3, LS-2 & NS-2 pedals the old ACA ones run fine.

everywhere you wanna be.
shouldnt hurt. the fulltone OCD is a 18V pedal that can run on a 9v battery.
its when you try to push 18 or 12V through a 9V pedal that you get into trouble.

It is a 9V system.
You would need an additional adapter for 12V.

Thanks guys. I know I had seen elsewhere people that did chain off of the TU2/3 pedals, but since they were also connected to the board, I wasn't sure if it was the tuner that made this work, or if it was the board power regardless of what pedal started things off. I don't current use either of those tuner pedals, so therefore I wanted to be sure the board would power the older pedals along with the newer ones. Also, for the guys using the brick power, that is a great option, it's just that I wanted to have a constant mount case to go along with the power, so the BCB board would work perfect for what I want. Providing of course it does work with my power needs. I had tried contacting Long & McQuade, but their guitar guys were gone when I did, and I haven't had the chance to get in there again to follow up on it with them.

Thanks Mosher for the Roland link on this. I had checked their site, but missed this one somewhere in the search.

Saw this in the actual manual from Roland too, the third one made me laugh:

Additional Precautions
553
• Use a reasonable amount of care when using
the unit’s buttons, sliders, or other controls;
and when using its jacks and connectors.
Rough handling can lead to malfunctions.
556
• When connecting / disconnecting all cables,
grasp the connector itself—never pull on the
cable. This way you will avoid causing shorts,
or damage to the cable’s internal elements.
558b
• To avoid disturbing your neighbors, try to
keep the unit’s volume at reasonable levels
(especially when it is late at night).

You have to love a company that cares!! lol.
