I want to thank everyone for the advise regarding the DSL 401.
I ended up returning it to Sam Ash but found a brand new one in the box at another music store. I paid $900 but ay least its new and I'm the first owner. This one was made in 2006, it doesnt get hot and sounds outstanding, I am a very happy Marshall amp owner.
