dsl 401 red channel, too much gain?

Hi, new to this forum, I've got a 1998 dsl 401 that just got serviced, he repaired broken pots and cleaned it up a bit, checked tubes, ect. However i do get this microphonic feedback on the red channel (3rd) when turned up half way, also the gain is cranked to maximum, and the bridge pickup is the worst, I was told this was normal. Is it possible that something is wrong with the amp?
Or is it just normal?

What guitar are you using and what pickups are in it?

Possibly a preamp tube if you hear microphonics. However, if you've got the Gain maxed out, that could very well be it. I use my Red channel frequently, but my Gain never gets over halfway. Even then, it seems way overboard.
