Hello, I'm from France and I'm new here.
With my band, we play industrial / power metal compositions.
I use an SG in DropD, with SH5 / SH1 Pups.
My DSL40 L1 settings, with V30 speaker:
Gain: 7
Treble : 9
Middle: 5
Bass : 8
Pres : 8
Res : 2
TS : On
Reverb : off

This is the spot to share your favorite settings.
Don't be shy, lets see how you get your tone!
What settings do you use most often? What about your favorite artist?
Most importantly, how DO you get your DSL40c to sound so great?

I haven’t tried any rush settings, or collective soul, but UFO, Priest, Thin Lizzy, scorpion’s, I can help, if you’re using a strat, or tele, for Rush, try green crunch tone shift out, gain at 7-9, volume to taste, treble 6 - 7 mids 5 bass 3 - 7 renosence presence 5 each reverb 5 - 8, I believe this gets close to all the worlds a stage, Bastille day, and Welcome to the forum! Cheers Mitch

Not related to Rush and Collective Soul, but after a speaker swap to an Eminence Private Jack, I pretty much leave bass, middle, and treble at noon. For bedroom volumes, presence 2, resonance 7. For live volumes, presence and resonance also at noon. If I just want to play sparkly clean, I might dial the mids back some.

Works well with these settings too because the Lead 1 channel has more treble, so my clean or cleanish rhythms sit a little further back, but I can set the Lead 1 channel to the same volume and it cuts a bit more with some Marshall "kerrang."

Seriously, a good speaker swap makes this amp killer.
