Fender is trying to get rid of their old stuff for their new 2017 lineup. Now is the time to buy. Great deals right now on the 2016 stuff, I just made off like a bandit. Even the newer stuff will probably be reasonably priced because they want to get shit moving.

They are not even **gizmos** really.

They simply let you flip some switches to rewire the pickups - same as many players would rewire any new guitar they buy.

The only difference is you don't have to solder any wires, just flip the switches into the configuration you want and play. If you want a different set up, you can change it in 10 seconds back to stock. All without removing the strings or pickguard.

So if you always wanted to try your pickups out of phase, or with a treble bleed, but were afraid you would mess up the factory wiring - now's your chance to try it with no permanent modifications.
