Agreed. At this point you have the new ones why not load 'em up? Plus, we really want your impressions of the Ruby's.:thumb:

So I got the Ruby's in...here's what I think.

First of all, what I love about the C5 is that it is woody yet clear, and chimey yet gritty. Fender amps are too thin for my taste, and Vox amps can be a little bright. The C5 is the best sounding amp with my Strats for me period.

The Ruby Tubes have basically added some clarity and headroom to my ears. The overall tone is pretty much the same (thank heavens) and the gritty edge on the louder cleans seems much smoother. Before the amp was pretty bassy, but it seems that it I have a little more range on the bass without getting too boomy. Could just be my ears today though.

Overall, they were re-labed JJ's, and I have no idea what Ruby does to them (clearly labeled JJ with a Ruby Tube Sticker). The tube change was relatively painless and quick. I'm a pretty happy camper.
