I have one amp, a Studio Vintage head.
Its my favorite amp and I dont care about buying a different model.
A friend is willing to sell me his SV for a great price.
Do I really need it? It would just be a backup if mine went down.
Never pass on a good deal on a good amp especially one that you know you like! Imagine how cool it would sound to have two identical amps hooked up to a stereo chorus pedal...buy it!

One amp is never enough. That's like saying one guitar is enough - and we all know that ain't right!!!

yes, yes, yes
1 good Marshall amp is more than enough. I sold all my "backup" heads, never needed them. 2 or more amps is not gonna make you play better
LESS IS MORE

if you're a TOURING professional : that is another story
You will probably need more toys and noize, because you're bored or a boring individual without your toys?
More than enough? How can one amp be more than enough? A half an amp works fine?
I don't tour but I do gig out and absolutely need 2. The ONE time I did not bring a spare I blew a power tube and had to use buddy's old Peavey Bandit....
Never again...
Glad he brought his.
Spare guitars, spare amp... for sure.
At home, do whatever floats yer boat.

I would only bother with two amps if doing the stereo thing.

As it is, the JVM covers everything I want from an amp.

I like the idea of getting a DSL as backup though ^ .. hm.

I thought I was done with tube amps. Got myself a Helix and a Powercab which, for the most part, are actually pretty great. Then went out and bought 4 more tube amps and 3 more cabs!
