Frankie, that's what I was told. But finding one that will sound like this DSL, hmmm, where to start. There are 2 JCM 800's for sale not far from me, but both are 2010's.
It sounds backwards doesn't it, saying "I want a JCM 800 that sounds as good as this 07' DSL".
What model of JCM 800, what year etc? There's no way I could play a JCM 800 with no master volume - WAY too loud. That's what I like about the DSL, even with the green channel's volume on 2 1/2, gain about the same, that honk and firmness was there. The more you turn it up, the better. But, it didn't seem louder than my Fender on 4-5, which is where I usually play it.
Can you recommend a JCM 800 that would sound firm and tight like this DSL? - Thanks.
