Hello! Well, I have noticed on my JCM800 2005 (1984) that on the same volume settings of the clean and boost channels (with maximum gain set for boost) the clean channel is MUCH louder than the boost channel.

Is this actually normal? Or something needs to be repaired?

By design, that is normal operation on these amps. The Normal (Clean) channel is capable of putting out a huge AC signal swing. The Boost channel is more compressed and restricted due to the diode clipping circuit on that side.

You can balance them out by setting the Normal Volume down around 4 ish, correct?
