he just rents the DSL from guitar center.

His tour is planned around the guitar center locations he rents them from.

Since thats all they ever have in stock well thats what he has to play threw.

Beck did use non-master volume Marshalls in the late 60's and early 70's before going through a bunch of amps including Music Man's. Beck started using Marshall amps again at some point and used a 50 watt DSL as his main amp for years. He has since been through various Marshall and Fender amps. Beck went back to the Marshall Plexi on his Emotion and Commotion record a few years ago in his pursuit of a more organic tone. He has used a current production DSL100H on his recent tours because they sound great and are easily replaceable should a problem arise.
