Jet City 20HV - Edit: Cane Grill

I might be looking for something a little different.
Low watt with a loop.
This is available local on Reverb for $325.
Anybody have / had one, love it / hate it, worth $325 or just junk?
Not enough activity for a Reverb history graph on price.
How different from a single channel Marshall like, say, my Origin20H?

In general, Jet City amps get most of their gain from the preamp stages, and they tend to sound more like a Soldano than a Marshall (lower mid peak with less smooth gain).

The JCA20HV is the lower gain version of the regular 20H, just like it was modded for Joe Perry.
It has a 0db post master effect loop that works well with pedals.
Really nice amp and miles better than an Origin 20 imho.

Just fyi - I bought around 30 JCA amps and modded them for several people (and for myself of course) so I do have some experience with them.
But I guess it was stupid of me to write anything here.

Congrats! I had a BFG modded JCA 22H. It was a cool little head.

Ok, meeting the guy tonight to pick up the amp, but I'm making plans for a matching cab.
Does anyone have a clue as to this type of grill cloth on the 20HV?
Looks kinda basketweave or single strand cane.
Can't seem to find a similar on the usual sites.

I think I like it.
Just cranked it for a few to make sure it's working.

Even through the Katana 212.
Tone stack, presence, gain are very responsive.
Clean to mean, bright to dark.
Looking forward to running it through some different speakers.
I have the O20H too.
For a single channel, the JCA20HV needs nothing out front, but that's not going to stop me from juicing it.
First impressions are a nice middle ground between the O20 & the DSL20.

People talked bad about them before they went away. After that all the amps that were available disappeared.
The 50 and 100w are absolutely something I want.
Mainly because I heard a modded one by a guy on Facebook .

For the Katana cab makeover.
Couldn't find a match for the JCA cane on the head, but there's plenty in the yard x 58" of Mojotone to do both cab & head.
Going to run the 20HV through some different speakers tonight and decide what to put in the cab.
