I had originally thought that a 8040 was just a lower powered 8080 with a few added luxuries...but now that I've got in it hand I realized that the 8040 has a single fixed boost channel while the 8080 has an OD1 & OD2 boost channel via a switch. So my question is...
1. What is the single fixed boost channel on the 8040 compared to the 8080? Is it a fixed OD1 or a fixed OD2 or something completely different!
I'm guess it would be relatively easy to see via the schematics but I'm schematic illiterate!!!
