Modded my 73 superbass!!!!!

I was torn between keeping her original, or modding it. Well after a long time thinking it over I went for mods!!!! I converted it over to a superlead and recapped it. While there I added a master Volume and a set of 6550's!

HOLY SHIT this amp is the Holy Grail!!! I've never heard such pure tone!!! I've got a lot of Marshall amps, but nothing like this!!!
I kept all the old parts so I can always put her back. But I don't think I'll ever change it or get rid of it!!!

I have a 1972 50 watt bass head that was converted to a lead guitar amp, and I love it. Why did you go with 6550's ? What type of master volume did you install ?

I have another superlead with el34s, so I wanted a different flavor. These 6550 are amazing!!!!!!!

hey I'm glad you like it, Super Bass and Super lead kick ass,sound like butter and take pedals very well.. I love my Supper Bass also from 1973
