I just bought a dsl100 head and it has multiple options for speaker out.

1X16 ohm
1x8 ohm or 2x16 ohm (2 jacks)
1x4 ohm or 2x8 ohm (2 jacks)
(Ive attached a photo of the back)

my question is am i able to connect multiple cabs e.g. i have a MX212 which is rated at 8 ohms and a MX412A which is rated at 16 ohms. Would i be able to plug them both into their corresponding jacks without damaging my amp?

8 ohms X 16 ohms = 128
8 ohms + 16 ohms = 24
Now take 128, and divide by 24 = 5.333 ohms total of both cabinets in parallel.

You will plug both cabs into 2X8 ohm jacks (2 jacks)
These jacks will accommodate a 4 ohm load (total both jacks), and your cabinets are 5.3 ohms total.

Any time you need to know parallel speakers:
Speaker 1 X speaker 2,
divided by speaker 1 plus speaker 2.

In other words
S1 X S2
--------- = total parallel resistance
S1 + S2
