Actually I already put a Tung-Sol 12AX7 in V2, so this is all the gain I get from this '83 amp. But as I said, I'm fine now with the Rat in front.
However, I found myself looking for a later model with more gain. But make no mistake, this is a great amp and I will never give it away.
