I had been looking at the small Fender and Marshall hand wired amps for a while now.
Finally got a chance to play a 1974X the other day. Sounded good, but I grew tired of the EL84's really quick.
So, I opted for the 12 watt, 6V6 powered, 57 Custom Deluxe.
I wormed my way into a band practice last night.
Ran my CS-336 straight into the Deluxe. No pedals, nothing to hide behind. WOW
It really does have a Brithish-esk type of tone. To me, the Blackface and Silver face Fender's have a tendency to hide what you are playing.
This thing is like a magnifying glass. You play something not quite right, everyone in the room knows it.
Every note is so extremely clear. Even on full O/D breakup. You can everything.
I can't wait to hear it running my pedalboard through it. I'll get pictures of the rig soon.
