Coming on really well @fitz
Looks great.
Love the colors and the two tone contrast!

Waiting to see the decal and how that goes.

Having made 3 guitars not from scratch but from kits I fully appreciate the effort put in and the dedication.

Cheers and rock on.

Thanks everyone!!!
Lots of steps to get through on a build like this.
Lots of things that could have gone wrong.
I wasn't joking when I said I had fairly high expectations of catastrophic failure. :nutkick:
Glad I was able to salvage the couple of f-ups that came along in the process.

It's back on the bench fully disassembled and waiting on the decal, some screws and final coat or 2 of clear.

That's some excellent work, Fitz! Beautiful guitar, and finely crafted.

And a huge thank you for explaining why and how you are using the tools and techniques you did. I learned quite a bit!

Yinzer for teh win!!!

I've been told many times that the 'art' of woodworking isn't perfection but the application of 'artful' fixes [AKA design elements] to the inevitable fuckups.

Great work and use of multiple tools for the pocketing. The colors and finish compliment each other very well. Great job @fitz !

Thanks again everyone!
That build was a lot of fun and a bit more of a challenge than a plywood box & some tolex speaker cab.

I spruced up that cheap leather strap in the pic above.
Got the strap as a case candy freebie from one of my LP's.
Not very heavy-duty, but the thinline only weighs a few pounds.

Punched some holes in it and ran a long shoelace through for a kinda Hendrix/Gilmour X pattern.
 - pack of shoelaces cost me $4...
