It was a dark and rainy night.... in November 1984 and my mum bought me my first real amp, a Marshall Lead 12. I put the Lead 12 through amplifier hell, always up too loud, the boot of so many cars etc. Now I am a big kid and I have Mesas that sound so much better...
I am thinking of selling it because I am in the middle of re-organizing my life and my IMG_20180317_165455aa.jpg IMG_20180317_165455aa.jpg IMG_20180317_165519a.jpg guitar reality.
I dont ever use it, its just a sentimental relic of the past.
Should I sell it or keep it because my mum is gone and I played so many Cream and Hendrix songs thru it when I was a kid?

For the reasons you mentioned, you should obviously keep it! :slap: Not to mention, some fine day, you may have grand kids or become friends with some other kid who needs to learn how to mess up those same Cream and Hendrix songs AND it won't bring very much $$ anyway!

Just My $.02 & Likely About What I'd Pay For That Amp! :nutkick:

that lead 12 has got tone like the big boys only it suits for bedroom playing and recording. I had one I bought in 1983..best marshall tone I had as a kid.
for that alone I think you should keep it.

I’m 60. Both my parents are gone.

I can tell you from personal experience, that things that don’t matter now, will later in life. Stick it in a closet and forget about it. But don’t get rid of it.
