I've got a 1-12" closed back cabinet with a brand new Vintage 30 (60 watts) in it. I mean this speaker doesn't even have 15 minutes on it. However I just picked up a DSL100H and would like to be able to use this 1-12 cab with the DSL100h as well as my other amps (3-50 watt amps and 2-15 watt amps) so I need a speaker that can handle the DSL100H by itself. So what one speaker would you guys say for a 1-12 for a DSL100H? I've been looking at Eminence V1216 (120 watts), Tonker (150 watts) or Tonkerlite (125 watts). Texas Heat (150 watts) or Lil Texas (125 watts). Maybe a Celestion G12T-100 or G12K-100. But those are just 100 watters. Needs to be 16 ohms too.

Course I could just run the DSL100H in 50 watt mode and keep the Vintage 30 in there. But I would like something to handle all the power.

Id keep that V30, especially given you have a 50w amp setting. That will be way louder than you could possibly need from a 1x12.

The best 1x12 combo speaker is a EV12L or some variant. At 200 watts, you shouldn't blow it.
The Eminence Delta Pro is another fine speaker for a 1x12. Then a vintage bass cone G12-80 is a good,
proper fit but a little shy of the max power you want, but still my third choice.

Don't forget about the neodymium factor; Jensen Jet Tornado and Celestion Century Vintage and are real nice as well. Light too.. I'm sure you can find some comparing clips on the 'Tube. :shred:

I'm almost considering an old Peavey Scorpion 12". 200 watts. Sound good. Tough as nails. Have to be 8 ohms though. Someone has a pair for sale on craigslist. Funny thing is I would almost bet money I sold him those Scorpions 6 or 7 years ago.

You won't move a lot of air with a single cab though...Your ears might need some adjusting if you're used to 4x12's

I generally use one of my 2-12"s with Century Vintage Celestions and one of my assortment of heads. I'm looking to take this 1-12 to rehearsal space and leave it. And just carry whichever head back and forth.
