Lol, funny thread topic! I've had a couple of threads where I thought for sure they'd take off, but wound up falling flat on their face. I've tried reviving a couple (like the one on simulation hypothesis), but it's like trying to light a wet candle. I don't take offense to it though.

Look at it this way-if no one is interested it's usually disappeared to page 2 with 48hrs!

When I make a thread, I really couldn't care less if members reply.

If they do and there's cool replies - that's a bonus

I do avoid certain member's threads however. I just don't want to read their egotistical dross about this and that - and offer us this and that, and ask us this and that. Selective thread participation.

I only looked for threads of mine with zero replies because of this thread catching my attention. Yet really, I don't care people didn't reply - it's not the end of world.

Back in my day, if you wanted a reply to your thread, you had to whittle it out of an old fence post, with a rusty garden tool.
