Went to see Yngwie Malmsteen last night & he didn't disappoint. Most of my photos were to large to post here but I was able to load a couple of his stacks.
If he comes close to your town do yourself a favor & see the man.
I'll be honest I remember him when he was a part of Alcatraz & didn't follow him after he left but he's been on my radar always seeing him in a guitar mag or a video here & there but don't know much about the music.
However when a legend comes to town & is playing a small venue you got to see them.
After 40yrs the man dazzles your eyes & ears with his insane chops!

Cool, I’ve always been a fan.

I Expect some haters will be along soon.
Yup, no disrespect to Malmsteen, phenomenal player, but all those Marshall heads?!

Please,… seems childish.

I saw him with Alcatrazz.

Obviously he is amazing at his style of playing. Moreso, he was phenomenal as far as his stage presence. Id never seen anyone jumping all over the stage like him, throwing his guitar around his neck, throwing it 20 feet in the air ...it was nuts. And as much as I like(d) Graham's singing (when he was "on", which was a 50/50 shot) Yngwie was the star of that show and destined for greater things- it was 100% obvious. I remember my buddy telling me the rest of the band looked like they forgot to take their Geritol before the show

Also, he has one of the best vibrato techniques of anyone..in any genre.

Seeing him made want to play and get better, even though I had zero desire to emulate him or his style. Seeing EVH and RR did the same thing to me- inspired me to want to get better, though I had no desire to learn/copy their style.
