Here's how I can use my 1959 at home using a Blackstar HT dual to get the distortion.
One good thing about doing this is that you can stick a delay in after the distortion, not something you can normally do with a Superlead.
BTW I'm still using an attenuator in this clip. The amp is on 2 which is still way to loud for home use
