I own the full stack that recorded most Dio Albums, starting from Last in Line with Vivian Campbell: both 4x12 cabs have G12 80 444 bass cones 320w cabs. very ' full range like' and they hit very hard , perfect match for Hard Rock and early Heavy Metal 2203 JCM800, think Dio and British Invasion / Priest :headbanger:

its the greatest speaker ever, way more balanced than a V30 and not "flat" like a EVM12L, its a vintage greenback G12H 30w on steroids you can make anything out of it, will never understand why Celestion is not reissuing it (most probably as they are failing by decades to replicate the magical 444 cone)

I’ve got a pair of 444 coned g1280’s , from memory they date to 1979 and have Marshall stickers on them . Great sounding speakers .

I have a B cab with G12-80’s (444 cones) with an A cab with G12-65’s (1777 cones) on top. Great NWOBHM tones
