I'm not sure I have an official rig at the moment, due to having guitars and various amps at different locations.

The K.I.S.S. Rigs (Axe -> Amp) would be: Jackson/Gibson V-type -> 2203KK or MF 350.

Doom Rig(s): Gibson V90 Double -> JCM Super Bass (boosted by pedal or slaved to another Marshall)

RR: Jackson PCS Randy Rhoads -> MXR '73 CSP 104-> MXR M108 -> Marshall 1959RR

There are maybe another half-dozen combos, and some new ones with the 1Ws slaved to a 100W amp.

Depends on the stage and whats required...... Here is my amp rig complete.....I use a voodoo Labs amp switcher to run the amps. Most times its just 1 4x12 cab, with my two Voodoo amps, a V-Plex and a V-Rock .

Photo0233.jpg

My main guitars are a 2004 Gibson Les Paul and a 1998 USA BC Rich Mockingbird.

I get lazy and don't want to bring too many guitars. I tend to just play one all night.

Guitar to pedal board mounted tuner (Polytune, coolest tuner ever as it does all 6 strings at once), then Cry Baby Wah, then to amp input. In the loop I have phase (Ibanez), then chorus, then flanger (both Boss) and back to loop. I also have the channel switch on the board (Boss).

Pretty simple. I retired the EQ and distortion pedals as well as a couple others as they were more clutter than I could justify from their use.

my primary rig right now is my Bogner alchemist with my mesa 2x12 75 loaded cab, a digitech bad monkey for clean boost/eq, my Jackson SLSMG and my Ltd EC1000 and an ISP decimator. my Framus Dragon is my main amp but i don't need that mcuh power right now. once i play some shows again it'll be it though until i can sell the white Framus and buy a couple Marshalls again. once i get my Shalls again those will be my main live amps.

Got too much gear to pin down 1 rig. I always take 2 guitars to a gig with 1 being a strat. My peddle board has been consistent with a tuner, 2 od's, decimator, pickle vibe and delay. Rotate my amps by venue. All my axes get gigged. Not sure if others do this but I play a guitar hard for 2-3 weeks, case it and move on. One thing that has not been used in a while is my 1960 cab. I just have not been playing anywhere needing a 4x12. My other 2x12's do it all. Close to 40 gigs this year so my gear has seen some road time.

My recent fav is a simple one. R8 VOS----> SD-1-----> JCM900 MKIII, Effects loop----> DD7---->RV-5, Rivera 2x12 loaded with G12H-30s. I know its cliche but you really cant go wrong with a good lespaul, Marshall head, and three boss pedals. Simple yet so in your face and deadly..

LP Standard, custom or Supreme (in various tunings) into

Morley Volume pedal - Morley Bad Horsey II wah - Rocktron guitar silencer with a Ibanez DS-9DX looped, side chain - Boss TU-2, Boss CH2 chorus, Boss DD-6, MXR Carbon Copy , BBE Sonic Stomp to a Radial JX-2 switcher.

Into either,

1) Marshall 6100 and Mesa Dual Rec - Clean to Classic Metal and Punk
2) Marshall 6100 and Marshall MF 350 - Heavy to modern metal or "New Metal"
3) Mesa Dual Rec and Madison Divinity - "New Metal" to super heavy old school metal.

As a side note - None of my heads have stock tubes.

I'm so glad this thread got necro-posted. I am a total gear whore. This was only a year ago!

My original setup that I first posted:
Les Paul R8/Strat/Tele: Still have the R8, traded the strat, sold the Tele
Planet Waves strobe tuner: retired, bought and sold a PolyTune, un-retired the PW Strobe
Dunlop Crybaby Wah: Traded
Ibanez TS9 RI: Still have
Boss MD-2 Mega Distortion: Still have
Dunlop Uni-Vibe: Sold
Boss GE-7 EQ: Traded
Rocktron Tsunami Chorus: Sold
Garage Tone Axle Grease Delay: Traded
Marshall Vintage Modern 2266: Traded/Sold
Fender Hot Rod DeVille 2x12: Traded

Now it's a different setup entirely. Since this was posted, my amps are an Ampeg VL1002, a Marshall Class 5, a Vox AC15 and an Egnater Tweaker 15 head and cab.

I still have the Les Paul, but the other guitars are a different heavily customized Strat, a Kramer, and a Gibson SG.

My pedalboard is now a Planet Waves Strobe Tuner --> Xotic EP Booster --> Moen Univibe clone --> MXR Custom Badass '78 Distortion --> Ibanes TS-9 --> MXR Dyna Comp --> DOD FX65 Chorus --> Vintage Ibanez DL10. I have a Boss Metal Zone waiting to go get modded by Hot Tubes, and I still have the Mega Distortion but it's not on the board right now. I also have a couple of homebrew OD pedals that aren't getting used: an Electra Boost and a SHO clone.

I'll check back in next year and see what it's looking like then!

My rig is:
Gibson Les Paul standard faded (sometimes Epiphone Casino) -> Crappy Tuner -> Cry baby Wah -> JVM410H -> Loop -> T-rex tremster -> Boss DD3 Monte Allum modded -> JVM410H -> Marshall JCM900 1960A

I like to keep it simple, having so many channels and sounds available in the amp helps a great deal.
