Which looks better - pickguard on or off?

OP: In most cases, I remove the pickguard if possible. But in your case, I really like how it looks on that axe.

It looks good both ways.I would leave it on,as I notice my pinky always makes a milky place where it rests on the body.If screw holes show,def on.

Dumb question here but if you take the pick guard off, do you leave the screw in or out? Does the screw hole bother you?

The screw holes don't bother me. Interesting that the votes are pretty evenly split, that's pretty much how I feel. I think I will leave it off for a little while but there is something about the "traditional" look with the pickguard on that I like. The black guard with the white layers at the edge helps accentuate the ebony and block inlays.

JMO, but LP's look nakid without pickguards, besides I rest my hand on the PG from time to time.

My personal opinion is pick guard off on any burst otherwise you're missing too much of the beauty. I leave mine off my burst and on my gold top.

I like yours with the pickguard on. Without it....looks kinda cheap.
