I've been debating selling my DSL-100, to finance a YJM-100. The power scaling feature is brilliant. Who wouldn't want that feature — in other Marshall amps?

Why does Marshall only offer this feature on the YJM-100?
Is it a licensing issue with London Power Scaling?

It seems every other company I look at that produces lower and higher wattage amps has this feature built in.

Why doesn't Marshall offer PS on other models?

Thanks.

I believe that I have seen others with power scaling or some form of it. There are far more amplifiers out there without power scaling.
Marshall just released those things. They are probably tallying; demand, production cost, feasability. Who knows, maybe they are planning a drop in or card swap situation to place in various amplifier models for those who want the add on. :D

Give them time, now that they've got the EPA circuit, it will most likely be finding it's way into a number of amps (IMO).

Its only a new feature, that's why.
The only amp released since the AFD and YJM is the Satch amp and he didn't want it.
It will probably won't be available until the JVM series is superseded.

Peace
