2204. Modded the hell out it, added a preamp tube, installed push/pull pots on many of the controls which did various functions (don't remember what), then sold it and bought a new Mesa Boogie. Modded that one a bit also (young and crazy), and then went to rack mount gear. I often wonder where those amps are now.

My first Marshall was a JMP-1 pre-amp.

This was back in the days when having rack gear was the thing to do and that Marshall was a real improvement over the ADA MP1 I'd been using.

I owned it until 2014 & then sold it. That was dumb but it was mostly going unused + kids cost money :) It never gave me a problem and sounded great.

Mine was a brand new NMV 50w JMP/'1987' I bought in Sept 1974--what a great sounding Marshall it was. Traded it for the 'new' 50w JMP MV model in the late 70`s & traded that for MM RD112 a few years later which i still have. That `74 JMP was special--wish I kept it but it had to be cranked pretty loud to sound it`s best. Bought a used '1987XL' reissue around 2009--it was more aggressive than the `74 JMP & was LOUD! I`m now very happy w/ my '2204' combo & the SC20H.
