All right guys. Lets not start a food fight but I am interested in knowing what each of you consider to be your personal favorite one guitar and one amp set up that you own.

Out of all of my gear I must admit that it is a 1989 JCM 800 2210 paired with a 1990 Ibanez RG550. Smooth Killer Sustain and Agression. No fuzz/buzz at all.

REMEMBER, KEEP IT FRIENDLY!

As much as I love my Marshalls, my current and favorite live rig is a 59 reissue Lester plugged into a Granger Amplification built hand-wired Trainwreck Express clone. The only pedal I use and have need for with this set up is a wah.

I do hasten to add that in an ideal world I'd have my Vintage Modern running along side the Granger but I can't justify a rig like that for most venues.

Les Paul and a JTM45. Add a greenback loaded cab and a set of cables and I'd be happy.

You might want to reconsider the greenbacks with the JTM45. I thought it would be awesome but I couldn't stand the flabby bass. I use vintage 30's with it now and am quite happy.

My fave, JCM800 and Greenbacks or JTM45 and 1960AV, guitar cord and Les Paul.

Fave combo Rivera R55.

R55.

I know what you mean about the bass on the JTM45, and I've tried it with a variety of speakers, including V30's, G12M-30's, and even Alnico G12's (which were actually my least favourite!).

I concluded that the greenback sang better than the rest, more midrange honk which I like. I play pretty tight on the strings, which is hard to explain, but in essence, I usually have some thumb flesh follow up when I play a chord, which tightens the bass (think Schenker) and this helps focus the tone.

The amp has GEC KT66's and a Radiospares OT and does sound tighter than the couple of reissue JTM's I've had. Louder too!

Tabacco burst Les Paul through my JCM800.
I've got a treble bleed cap on my rhythm pick up and I use an clean ODpedal.
Amp is set to a good OD.
Rhythm pickup provides cleans with pick-up volume on 2, rhythm plus OD = nice pushed cleans.
Bridge pickup provides OD with pick-up volume on 10 and full bore face melt when the OD is kicked in.

Nice array of tones from a one trick pony!! :naughty:

Les Paul & Marshall (single channel JCM 800)!! (Rock n' Roll) And a 70's Marshall cab with blackbacks. This has been my dream setup since I was a fucking kid, and now I own it (again) since a few month. I've have'nt had a lot of Marshalls in the past. I've had a unch of Les Pauls over the years though.

Out of the gear I have:

DSL 100 w/ 1960A plugged up to a Jackson Strat that I have had since they went in to business.

My Les Paul is working it's way to take over that spot.

Pre cbs strat with a maple neck and a Marshall Super 100jh with celestion alnico speakers. Not mine yet since the entire rig is around $30,000, but Im hoping to get the amp soon to go with my american standard strat.

And one day I'll get that vintage strat to make the package perfect!
