My new band's first show is this sunday at the boneyard in atlantic city. Right next to Taj Mahal. If anyone can make it should be a lot of fun, it's a big music fest 70+ bands over 3 days.

+1 slam the front of your amp with a tube screamer, sd1 or another od pedal and you'll be in metal heaven dude. I much prefer a boosted jmp/jcm 800 to a dsl etc... DSL is a good amp if your just adding to the arsenal though.
I have good credit so I got approved for like 18 months no interest when I bought my G0, I got it 2700 out the door I believe. Put some money from a PRS I sold down and paid off the rest at like 75/ month, which I knew I could handle. It was financially easier for me to do that then drop...
Most of mine is in my sig but
GO LP/San Dimas Charvel/Explorer---> pitch black tuner---> wylde wah---> surreal more pedal---> boss sd-1---> MXR script phase 90---> MXR Micro Flanger---> Boss OC-2---> Tech 21 boost DLA (used for analog effects, not really as delay)---> 86 JCM 800 2204---> Diezel...
You guys should also check out the MXR classic OD. Its a cheap pedal and has the MXR GT-OD and ZW OD in one housing. Some guitar centers still have them for like $40.
I love EVH, he might be my favorite player and biggest influence, however he is off his rocker man. Sammy Hagar in his new book states Eddie said he operated on himself for his tongue cancer or something along those lines and some other crazy lies...
I have owned almost all those amps listed, well Blackmore for Engls and I dont think any of them have as much gain on tap as a JVM. JVM gain on 3-4 is about the same as 5150 on 6-7 or a XXX/Ultra type 5-6.
+1 my dimarzio's squealed like a pig prior to wax potting them. I used parifin (sp?) wax though. Using a double boiler, it couldn't be easier to do. Also my bass player boils his strings to get more life out of them.
I think McCarty's are meant to be players though, especially non ten top's or plain tops... I don't own any PRS, but have in the past, they make a great guitar. CE's are amazing and can be had for under 1K. I don't think they are that terribly over priced for the quality you are getting. I...
I personally feel a twist of the resonance knob makes up for the difference in the 205 and 210. It is hardly noticeable and the 205 has ample bottom end.
